My research is primarily within the field of
distributed systems middleware.

- LOFAR@home: Handling data from the LOFAR project. wikipedia article.
- VOTechBroker, Data Exploration (Data Mining + Visualization), VOTech Project.
- Wide-Field Multi-Object Spectrograph (WFMOS):
- A design study for the Subaru Telescope in Hawaii. This is a joint project between the Subaru and Gemini communities and includes scientists from Canada, Australia, Japan, US and UK. At present, there are two teams commissioned with the task of developing a final Concept Design (CD) for the instrument and these CDs will be submitted to Gemini/Subaru in early 2007. At Portsmouth, we are responsible for developing a working design for the data analysis and data management software.
